Almost Acoustic Christmas 2013

This year, Sam and I decided to attend Night 1 of KROQ's Almost Acoustic Christmas(along with a couple other friends)! We've waited for this day to come along since we bought our tickets in November. After a month of an agonizing wait, the special day came along!

Knowing us, we pre-planned the outfits we were going to wear. Sam decided to wear a black bralette, paired with her leather skirt from Zara with tights, a simple cardigan and booties from PLNDR. The longer black bralette was perfect to throw on for a rock concert since it is simple, sophisticated and sexy. I decided to wear a maxi-halter-side slit-backless dress from Nastygal, with my Topshop necklace, army and leather Urban Outfitters jacket and booties from Zara. We both decided to go with an edgy yet simple look with some added leather (since it is a rock concert).

The concert itself was absolutely breath-taking. The Shrine Auditorium was unbelievably beautiful and the line-up was of course, perfect. The 6 hours of music along with a rotating stage set the night just right. I mainly went to go see Vampire Weekend since they are my favorite band and they filled all of my expectations! My absolute favorite song that they played was Step from their new Modern Vampires of the City album. The night ended with two very magical songs by Kings of Leon: Use Somebody and Sex on Fire. The last two songs really ended the night on such a good note; classics that we all sing along to on the radio every once-in-a-while. If you live in California, I recommend seeing the show next year! I had such a blast before, during and after the concert. Almost Acoustic was very well orchestrated with fun photo-ops, free lattes, tons of music and friends.

Gaby's Heels

Hey guys! Here's my favorite pairs of wedges that I own right now and I'm hoping to continue adding onto my collection c:

Urban Outfitters. $60.
I love these kind of water-colored print shoes because they're wild and different. I wear them with very simple things to make my outfit look much better. These shoes are incredibly comfortable and about 4 inches high.

Jeffrey Campbell Aubrey Spike Platform. $200.
I got these shoes from my birthday and I love them to death! The only trouble I had with them were that they're a bit over 6 inches high and I had to get used to walking in them. I recently got accomodated to them and they're so wonderful. I will probably wear this either with a plain white weekend dress or to a fancy event c:

Zara T-Strap Wedges. $60.
I love how colorful and comfortable these wedges are. I can use them for anything casual like going to the supermarket or with a fancy dress. They are so nice to walk in and I love the strap because it helps my feet stay in place :3

Chinese Laundry. $120.
These are my newest shoes I bought! They have these in the Jeffrey Campbell Night Walk but I adore these ones so much more. They're about 6 inches high and I've received so many compliments. They take some getting used to, but I wore them to a play I went to (Dead Enders) and I just love how they look. The dynamics were made so that they would feel like you're walking in wedges!
